Melpark Primary School is also sad to bid one of the best Afrikaans teachers a sad farewell.
Ms Buck joined Melpark Primary teaching Afrikaans Grade 5-7 over the years. She was also the school choir mistress, bringing new sounds and music to our ears at school events. A wizz in the kitchen as well, making us some delicious meals for some events.
In her years at Melpark, Ms Buck has always been the life of the party, a strict yet loving disciplinarian in the classroom and very loved by the learners she teaches. She has also shown a lot of teamwork in making fundraising activities in the school a success.
Ms. Buck, your infectious enthusiasm for the Afrikaans language has not only enlightened our students but has left an indelible mark on our hearts. Your creative teaching methods, lively lessons, and unwavering dedication have made the language come alive for every student fortunate enough to be under your guidance.
As we bid farewell to Ms. Buck, let’s celebrate the countless moments of laughter, learning, and growth that she has facilitated within our school walls. Your departure leaves a void that will be challenging to fill, but we are grateful for the time we’ve had together.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family as much as you became family to us.
